Breast Augmentation

A breast augmentation is procedure to increase the size of the breasts, typically utilizing a breast implant. An incision is made either in the armpit, around the nipple or in the fold under the breasts. Implants are then placed either above or below the muscle of the chest wall. The choice of surgical technique is based on each patient's unique anatomy and goals. Dr. Moister will help you understand the different surgical options, as well as help you choose the most suitable type, size, and shape of implant to achieve the results you desire.

Breast Lift

Also known as a mastopexy, this is a procedure that raises and reshapes existing breast tissue to improve the contour of the breasts. Excess skin is removed, the nipple and areola are repositioned, and the surrounding tissue is tightened to provide support. In cases where significant volume loss has occurred, this procedure may be combined with implant placement to achieve additional fullness and restore a more natural silhouette.

Breast Implant Revision

Occasionally, changes over time may prompt a revision of prior implant surgery. Reasons may include scar tissue formation (capsular contracture), implant rupture, changes in implant position, or a desire for a different size. Revision surgeries are tailored to each unique situation, with careful planning to address any underlying issues as well as provide the desired aesthetic result.

Breast Reduction

Also known as a reduction mammoplasty, this is a surgery to reduce the size of the breasts. Breasts that are overly large can cause many issues, including chronic back pain, skin issues and difficulty exercising. This procedure is often covered by insurance, however in certain circumstances it may also be performed for cosmetic reasons.

Gynecomastia Surgery

More commonly known as male breast reduction surgery, this is a procedure that can improve the appearance of enlarged male breasts. Excess fat, tissue, and skin is removed, and occasionally a lift is done to support sagging tissue and improve the contour of the chest.
