Face Procedures
We offer a variety of surgical procedures to improve the visual signs of aging in the face and neck.
Thee procedures are used to treat relaxed or sagging skin in the cheek, jaw, or neck, as well as deep crease lines around the nose and mouth. Depending on concerns, a surgical procedure may be combined with other treatments designed to improve the appearance of the superficial skin, such as microneedling, dermabrasion, or chemical peels. Treatment plans are individualized for every patient based on his or her unique facial structure and post-treatment goals.
Face Lift
A Traditional facelist involved incision in the hairline that continues around the lowerear and scalp. Excess fat is removed or re-sculpted, muscle layers may be lifted and excess skin is removed. Incision lines are strategically placed to be as inconspicuous as possible upon healing, leaving a natural, refreshed appearance. Many variation of this procedure exist and may be discussed based on individual anatomy, concerns and patient goals.
"Mini" Face Lift
A mini facelift if a less extensive procedure that targets that lower face, jawline and jowls. Incisions are smaller in this type of lift and are typically hidden in the hairline near the temple and around the ears. This procedure may be beneficial for patients in their 40's and 50's or who have less overall skin relaxation.
Neck Lift
This procedure targets and removes excess skin and fat under the chin and around the neck. The platysma, the thin muscle that extends from the collarbone to the lower face, may also be lifted and tightened, improving the overall contour of the neck. Incisions are typically placed in the lower hairline and around the ear, though in some cases a "Z" type incision under the chin may be recommended.
Brow Lift
Used to repositioned the skin on the forehead, smoothing its overall appearance. It may also correct vertical frown lines between the eyebrows as well as eyelid hooding due to descent of the brow. Incisions are hidden in the hairline to minimize visible scarring. in come cases a minimally invasive approach using an endoscope (a thin tube with an attached camera) may be used.
Eyelid Surgery
Also known as Blepharoplasty, is a procedure to remove excess skin around the upper and lower eyelids. Over time, weakening muscles around the eyes and loss of elasticity can cause excess skin to collect around the eyelids. Blepharoplasty can remove redundant skin/muscle and remove or redistribute fat, improving the appearance of drooping eyelids or bags under the eyes. Incision in the upper eyelid are placed in the eyelid crease so as to be invisible when eyes are open, while in a lower blepharoplasty the incision may be placed at the lower lash line or in the hidden inside the lower lid. In some instances blepharoplasty surgery may be covered by insurance if drooping eyelids are obstructing vision.
Nose Surgery
A Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure that reshapes bone and/or cartilage in the nose. This may be done to improve the overall shape and balance in proportion to face or to repair changes from a previous fracture. Cosmetic rhinoplasties are often combined with functional procedures that correct a deviated septum and improve breathing.
