Body Procedures
Oftentimes people find themselves with areas of their body that no amount of lifestyle change can address.
Changed due to significant weight loss or pregnancy can lead to loose, sagging skin that may interfere with the fit of clothing, affecting self-confidence, or in some cases cause physical discomfort. There are a number of procedures available that aim to reshape body contour and provide a more balanced, proportionate form.
Abdominalplasty
Also known as tummy Tuck, is a procedure to remove excess skin and fat of the abdomen and restore a smoother, flatter stomach area. Separation of the abdominal muscles (diastasis recti) may be repaired, tightening the underlying muscle layer. After removal of the exces, the skin of the upper abdominal is pulled down and new opening is created for the belly button. The incision line is placed in the low abdomen at the level generally hidden by clothing and swimwear. The length of the incision may span from hip to hip or be shorter in length, depending on the amount and location of tissue to be removed.
"Mini" Abdominalplasty
Also known as a mastopexy, is a procedure that raises and reshapes existing breast tissue to improve the contour of the breasts. Excess skin is removed, the nipple and areola a re repositioned, and the surrounding tissue is tightened to provide support. In cases where significant volume loss has occurred, this procedure may be combined with implant placement to achieve additional fullness and restore a more natural silhouette.
Liposuction
Occasionally, changes over time may prompt a revision of prior implant surgery. Reasons may include scar tissue formation (capsular contracture), implant rupture, changes in implant position, or simple a desire for a different size. Revision surgeries are tailored to each unique situation, with careful planning to address any underlying issues as well as provide the desired aesthetic result.
Brachioplasty
Also known as a Reduction Mammoplasty, is a surgery to reduce the size of the breasts. BReasts that are overly large can cause many issues, including chronic back pain, skin issues and difficulty exercising. This procedure is often covered by insurance, however in certain circumstances may be performed for cosmetic reasons.
